Welcome to our website. Both of us have been active artists for most of our lives and we live in Bend Oregon where we paint, mainly on large scale works, in our studio. Inspiration for the majority of these paintings comes from Europe where the landscapes are so different from the american west. Countries we have visited and painted have included Great Britain, the islands of Cyprus and Guernsey and France, but in recent years the Italian landscape has captured our imagination and we have returned to Tuscany, Umbria, Liguria and more recently Puglia whenever possible.

 

We always take our paints with us when we travel and we keep our sketch books and pens handy. Painting or sketching on location is an excellent way to capture the essence of a scene or vista but we also take photographs so that we are able to work on our larger scale paintings in the studio when we return home.
